BHR Racing is BluHartmann's sports division, and this is its first road race. On 11 October we ride the recon stage, and the final route will be chosen between two candidates. What you see on this page is confirmed; what is missing goes up the day it closes, not before.

The route

There are two candidate courses and it is not decided yet which one will be raced. We publish both, each with its label, so you can start riding them without anyone assuming the wrong one.

Voting is open: pick the course you would rather race.

The organisation makes the final call on the course; your vote is consultative input, not binding.

One vote per person, with basic protection against abuse.

Know another route?

Thanks for voting

Your vote was recorded as input for the course decision.

Thanks for your proposal

We will read it alongside the two courses under review.

Safety and planning

A road race is planned long before anyone pedals. This is what the organisation puts in place so that the course is safe on race day, and it is why the reconnaissance stage exists: to ride the route before anyone else and adjust whatever needs adjusting.

Lead car and broom wagon

One vehicle opens the race warning that there are cyclists on the road and another closes it, picking up anyone who abandons or goes past the time limit. Between the two, nobody is left alone on the road.

Motorbikes and marshals

Motorbikes spread across the groups and marshals with paddles at every junction and every vehicle access along the course.

Signage and closures

Temporary signage ahead of every critical point, and closures or segregated lanes, in coordination with the traffic authorities and the municipalities along the course.

Command post

A unified command post at the finish with the organisation, traffic authorities, police, health services and rescue bodies, linked by radio to the lead vehicle, the broom wagon, the motorbikes and the ambulances.

Medical cover

Ambulances with an automated external defibrillator and certified crew on the course and at the finish, with a reference hospital defined for each section.

Event insurance

Accident cover for every registered rider during the race, plus the public liability policy of the event.

What is asked of you

Helmet at all times, a mechanical check before the start, active health insurance cover, and attendance at the pre-race safety briefing.

Weather protocol

Safety comes first: the organisation may adjust or suspend the course if conditions require it.
